We are two friends (and a cat) who refuse to be defined by our degrees or confined by expectations. Fresh out of uni, we’ve set out to build something of our own—pursuing what some might call a luxury: interest and passion. Proudly and unapologetically Chinese, we are on a journey to introduce the beauty of traditional Chinese aesthetics of living while sharing the soothing power of our culture to more people.

As a finance student, numbers may be my foundation, but creativity is where I truly come alive. Whether capturing a fleeting moment through photography or bringing an idea to life on canvas, I am drawn to the interplay of light, color, and emotion. Chinese culture, with its rich textures and timeless aesthetics, is one of my greatest inspirations.

To me, VooKwong is a canvas where heritage and modern expression merge. Here, fashion is not just about wearing something beautiful but about carrying history forward in a way that feels personal, fresh, and alive. It is a space where tradition and creativity go hand in hand—honouring the past while shaping the future.

I’ve never been good at labelling myself—so why start now? Since we’re meeting through VooKwong, I suppose I’d call myself a fashion and beauty enthusiast, especially when it comes to the aesthetics deeply rooted in my own cultural heritage. But beyond that, I’m also an amateur figure skater, a ballet beginner, a rebellious daughter, a social media content creator, a (selective) film lover, and (when needed) a (somewhat annoying?) social science scholar… There are just so many things that I want to explore.

And that’s exactly why I love VooKwong. Here, you don’t have to squeeze yourself into predefined boxes. At its heart, VooKwong is about following your instincts, embracing harmony, dreaming freely, and living beautifully. Life is not a set path; it is a vast wilderness ;-)
